Multnomah County Adopts The Gladys McCoy Standard

In November of 2018 Multnomah County in Portland Oregon, became the third government agency to adopt a policy modeled after the National Football Leagues “Rooney Rule” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rooney_Rule

The State of Oregon https://thenohatezone.wpengine.com/rooney-rule/ in adopting a policy that requires the interviewing of qualified people of color and other marginalized groups when hiring for leadership positions.

The policy is named after Gladys McCoy https://www.theskanner.com/news/northwest/27771-county-adopts-gladys-mccoy-standard to honor her legacy and work.
